My journey into therapy began with a deep curiosity about human behavior, society, and the intricate ways we develop within our families and communities. This fascination, coupled with my own experiences navigating the world as a neurodivergent individual, led me to a career where I can help others explore their own unique paths.

I'm passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of self-discovery and growth. I believe our past experiences, particularly those involving trauma, significantly impact our present well-being. My approach centers on creating a safe and supportive space where we can delve into these experiences, understand their influence, and ultimately create a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

As a therapist committed to decolonizing mental health, I recognize that traditional frameworks often fall short in addressing the systemic injustices that contribute to our suffering. Together, we'll explore how forces like colonization, capitalism, and other forms of oppression impact your mental health, and we'll work to dismantle internalized narratives that hinder your authentic self.

My commitment to social justice and anti-capitalism informs my practice, as I believe true healing requires acknowledging and challenging the systems that perpetuate inequality. I strive to create an environment where you feel empowered to embrace your identities, explore your interests, and uncover your authentic self.

Beyond my role as a therapist, I'm a parent dedicated to healing and growth, a partner, a friend, and a constant learner. I find joy in building community, headbanging to metal music (don't be surprised to see me in band tees!), and currently learning the drums. As a Covid long-hauler, I also have experience with the challenges of chronic illness, disability, and ableism.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. Let's embark on a journey of healing and liberation together.

My Approach

I'm delighted you're considering therapy to support your journey. As a queer, neurodivergent therapist, I understand firsthand the unique challenges and strengths that come with these identities. My practice is a space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and understood without judgment. I specialize in working with queer and neurodivergent adults navigating anxiety, stress, and the complexities of CPTSD/trauma.

My approach is rooted in being trauma-informed and highly relational. This means I prioritize creating a safe, collaborative, and authentic therapeutic relationship where you feel empowered to explore your experiences at your own pace. I integrate evidence-based modalities like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Brainspotting into my work. ACT helps you develop psychological flexibility, allowing you to observe difficult thoughts and feelings without getting entangled in them, and to commit to actions aligned with your values. Brainspotting is a powerful, focused mindfulness tool that helps access and process trauma stored in the brain and body, often leading to profound shifts and relief.

While the work we do together can be profound and challenging, I also believe in the healing power of connection and, yes, even laughter. Therapy doesn't have to be solely serious; finding moments of lightness and joy can be incredibly restorative. I strive to create a warm, engaging, and sometimes even humorous environment where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self, even on the toughest days. I look forward to the possibility of walking alongside you on your path towards healing and well-being.
