LGBTQIA+ & QUeer-Affirming Therapy

Space to unhook from systemic stress, inhabit your body safely, and live on your own terms.

Being queer, trans, or non-binary in a world built for cis-heteronormativity takes a real toll on your nervous system. Whether you’re navigating the heavy weight of anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation, working through internalized shame, exploring your gender or sexuality, or simply looking for a therapist who gets it without you having to explain basic terminology—you belong here.

I offer queer-, trans-, and non-binary-affirming telehealth therapy tailored to LGBTQIA+ adults. You don't have to translate your lived experience or educate your therapist. We start from a place of shared understanding, safety, and mutual respect.

Beyond "Affirming": A Human-Centered Approach

"Affirming care" shouldn't just be a buzzword or a rainbow flag on a website. To me, it means actively dismantling the rigid, pathologizing models of traditional therapy that treat marginalized identities as problems to be solved.

I work from an anti-oppressive, liberation-focused framework. That means:

  • No "Queer 101" Required: You won't waste your precious session time explaining microaggressions, gender euphoria, polyamory, or identity terminology.

  • Your Whole Identity is Welcome: Whether your reason for coming to therapy is directly related to your queer/trans identity or has nothing to do with it at all (because queer folks have anxiety, grief, and life transitions, too), your identity is honored as a vital part of who you are.

  • Mapping the External Pressures: We name the systemic impacts—heteronormativity, transphobia, family-of-origin rejection, and minority stress—so you stop blaming yourself for reactions that are normal responses to oppressive environments.

Letters for Gender-Affirming Care

I operate from a gender-affirming, anti-gatekeeping model. If you need a letter of support for gender-affirming medical care (HRT, surgeries, etc.), I aim to make this process as smooth, transparent, and non-stressful as possible. I follow WPATH guidelines while keeping administrative hurdles to a minimum—because you deserve access to the care you need without jumping through humiliating hoops.
